comparison with Sokurow:cinemavenire

From the very start of the film, you are struck by its visual imagination, hinting at an entire life lived drowning underwater. (...) An outstanding example of a film which is uncompromising in its vision, Seven Heavens will leave you confused, maybe unsatisfied but with a sense of having experienced a worthwhile journey - just like a dream.eyeforfilm

Dream-like journey into the subconscious; a crossroads betweeen "Mulholland Drive" and "Last Year at Marienbad". A dark Masterpiece. (...)Busch´s Feature offers a mesmerising journey, for those brave enough to take it: it´s hallucinogenic visuals (reminiscent of Sokurov) and ambiguous narrative, suggestive of a realm where time is conditional, perception unreliable, and desire the only constant. Edinburgh Film Festival

A work on the basic elements water and blood, begins with an hommage to Atalante of Jean Vigo, then finding a very personal poetry of visual darkness. The act of seeing itself is emphasized through a hypnotizing waving movement, a constant flow of images. This "invisibility" of images is a chiffre for the darkness within memory (...) in this game between past and present time Busch denies the possibility of luck for his protagonists: everything is reduced to pain, hurt, blood, masturbation, suppressed feelings (...) There is little hope in this film which has the suggestive moving power of a dream providing us with a visual experience far more intense than ever seen before.
Sentieri Selvaggi

„amore gotico“
The construction of a surreal present makes Seven Heavens a film about dream and perverted longing. A dark masterpiece.
La Stampa

A rare cinematografic experience (...) The film had physicals effect on some people. In the discussion afterwards they described it as like the feeling of drowning (...)A visually overwhealming film, with its fragmeted way of story telling a challenge for the audience, a „mulholland drive“ with endless repetitions, yet a film you won´t forget easily.
Il Cannocchiale

Seven Heavens is a rare experience in german cinema. A risky, sad, angry film exploring the yet Unknown and exciting. A stroke of luck for german independent filmmaking
